Starting with Why. |
|
Want to live to be 100? Okinawans will tell you that it requires a four-pronged approach that includes, without exception, an Ikigai: a well-thought, established reason to get up in the morning. A personal why. We’ve decided to build a business this way. We’re starting with Why. Our Ikigai. Because we want our lives to work, and work in service to something enduring. Vibrant. |

We don’t even have a What yet. But
it’s coming. And when it does, it will pivot around a set of
non-negotiable values that won’t just give us purpose. But will give
purpose to our customers and stakeholders, too. The Okinawans have a name for this as well - another prong to their approach of living long and well. It’s called a moai: a social circle that has each other’s backs. Like the Okinawans, our sustaining enterprise will be built within a community of ardent supporters. This site is simply an evolving and transparent reflection of our efforts with the intent to attract our moai. We’ll blog about our development when we’re inspired to do so. We welcome your comments. And we want to hear from you. This is a fundamentally different approach to building a business. Seems strange to some, we know. But we’re dedicated to doing it this way. Why? Why not? Wait - check that. Why yes. |
